
This is obviously not a solution if you have three different SharePoint sites synchronized with several hundred Gigabytes, along with your personal OneDrive with 10's of GB stored. For example, I just created a 637 kb Word document that I uploaded to my OneDrive for Business that I wanted to share with some colleagues over Teams, document is saved and closed on my computer, no one else has it open, but still, the document takes forever (several minutes) to have heard this solution before, but as far as I understand from the "Disable Files on Demand" feature, all your synched folders are then downloaded to the local harddrive. This has serious implications as it severely impacts the speed at which we can work with and share files. Internet connectivity tests shows good speeds (>50MB/s, all the way up to 300MB/s), but still, OneDrive takes forever to even upload a couple of kilobytes in a Word document. Tested both on and off our VPN client, as well as in numerous Internet configurations (at home, at work), WiFi and cable. Verify that a Tenant Association Key is present in the text field.

Once I realized I needed to make all those files in there online only so I tried changing the settings to apply properties to all the files on that other computer to make it online only but it did NOT finish because it took way too long. This probably happened when Onedrive detected the hard drive / SSD had like 10 GB of space left. At some point Onedrive (on that computer) stopped downloading (I'm like 60-80% sure) files to that computer probably because it detected it would run out of space. I think some of files from Onedrive got downloaded to that computer but not all of them. I think once I signed into my Microsoft account on that computer without turning off my Onedrive. In case of problems with the sync folder, you can stop the sync and restart it to clear the fault. Sync problems can often be solved by restarting the sync connection. It has a quad core 1.44 ghz cpu with intel hd integrated graphics and 4 GB of ram. Respect the pre-defined limits for files. I think like over a year ago, someone else got a really low end PC just for like simple things. Yesterday I transferred all my files in my Onedrive using robocopy to that other SSD.

Make sure you have the latest OneDrive client and Windows 10 build. I think once I had to scan and fix the drive for errors but that was a long time ago. (also my pc is more than capable of running Windows 10) It also has a 256 GB SSD. (so I have 1 TB of space online which should be worth mentioning) I'm running windows 10 on a old PC that sometimes crashes. On my main PC, every time I change or create a new file or folder Onedrive just marks it as Sync pending and it does NOT get uploaded to the cloud or to my online Onedrive.
